Job Description:

Cooper Elite Tennis Corporation (C.E.T.) is seeking a passionate and reliable Roving Tennis Coach to join our dynamic team of professionals. This role involves traveling to various coaching sites within the Hampton Roads, VA area and Elizabeth City, NC to provide high-quality tennis instruction across a range of age groups and skill levels. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to the development of players and excited to be part of an elite-level tennis training environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver on-court instruction for juniors and adults at multiple locations.

• Work with players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced.

• Support player development through drills, technique correction, and match play strategy.

• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and C.E.T. staff to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

• Maintain a professional and energetic presence during all coaching sessions.

• Assist with organizing and facilitating clinics, camps, and special events as needed.

• Be punctual, prepared, and flexible to adapt to various coaching environments and schedules.

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to various coaching sites.

8 or more years of tennis playing experience (competitive background preferred).

• Strong ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with players and families.

• Willingness to obtain a USPTA or USPTR certification (support may be provided for the right candidate).

• Strong ability to work with children of all ages in both group and private lesson settings.

• Must be dependable, coachable, and enthusiastic about player development.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior tennis coaching or assistant coaching experience.

• Experience working in a developmental or high-performance tennis setting.

• CPR/First Aid certification.
